121.01 SAFETY DEPARTMENT ORGANIZATION.
   (a)    There shall be a Department of Public Safety which shall be administered by a nonclassified employee designated the Public Safety Director who shall be an elector of the
City and shall be appointed by the Mayor.
   (b)    Director's Bond. The Public Safety Director shall furnish bond in the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000).
   (c)    Director's Salary. The salary of the Director of Public Safety shall be payable in equal biweekly installments under "Class 4, Appointed Personnel" Schedule of Section 15.18 of Ordinance No. 81-59 as amended, last by Ordinance No. 31-83, in the annual amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) and changes thereof shall be accomplished by ordinance or in the general pay and economic benefits ordinance for nonclassified employees.
   (d)    Divisions of Department of Public Safety. The Department of Public Safety shall be composed of the Police Department, the Fire Department and the Charity, Correction and Building Departments.
(1)    Police Department. The Police Department shall be headed by the Police Chief and shall be composed of the following bureaus:
A.    The Patrol Bureau.
B.    The Traffic Bureau.
C.    The Bureau of Investigation.
      (2)    Fire Department. The Fire Department shall be headed by the Fire Chief and shall be composed of the following bureaus:
A.    The Firefighting Bureau.
B.    The Fire Prevention Bureau.
C.    Housing Inspection Bureau.
(3)   Charity Department.
(4)    Correction Department.
(5)   Building Department.
   (e)    Duties. The Director shall exercise such other duties as imposed by law.
