531.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter certain terms are defined as follows:
   (a)    "Parent" means any person having legal custody of a minor:
      (1)    As a natural or adoptive parent;
       (2)    As a legal guardian;
      (3)    As a person who stands in loco parentis; or
      (4)    As a person to whom legal custody has been given by order of court.
   (b)    "Remain" means to stay behind, to tarry and to stay unnecessarily in or upon a public place in a manner and under circumstances not sanctioned under Section 531.03.

   (c)    "Public place" includes streets, roads, highways, alleys and sidewalks, floodwall right of way, parks and outdoor recreational facilities, and any real property owned or under the control of the state, county, township, city or village or other political subdivision. Included in such definition is any way or place, of whatsoever nature, open to the use of the public as a matter of right for purposes of vehicular travel or, in the case of a sidewalk, for pedestrian travel. Also included in such definition is the legal right of way, whether paved or unpaved, and any grass plots or other grounds found within the legal right of way. (Ord. 60-87. Passed 5-11-87.)
   (d)    "Minor" means any person under eighteen years of age.
