13-148-110 Mechanical conveyor systems - Conformance requirements.

(a) All mechanical conveyor systems, including horizontal, inclined and vertical systems, shall comply with the requirements of the American National Standards Institute, ANSI B20.1-1987, “Safety Standards for Conveyors and Related Equipment”, with its supplemental ANSI B20.11-1988.

(b) Pursuant to Section 13-32-010, a building permit shall be required for the installation of any conveyor system that penetrates a required vertical or horizontal fire separation. The system shall comply with fire safety standards appropriate to the particular installation.
