18-11-1112.2.5  Gaps at rail crossings.
   If the pedestrian route crosses rail systems at grade, the gap at the inside edge of each rail shall be the minimum necessary to allow passage of the rail car wheel flanges but shall not exceed 3 inches (76 mm) for tracks that carry freight rail, and 2 1/2 inches (64 mm) for all other rails. The surface of the pedestrian route shall be level and flush with the top of the rail at the outside edges and between rails.
