In buildings three stories or less in height containing more than 20 dwelling units, at least 2 percent, but not less than one, of the units shall be Type A units complying with Section 18-11-1107.7.2. In buildings four stories or more in height containing 10 or more dwelling units, at least 20 percent, but not less than one, of the units shall be Type A units. The required units shall be distributed proportionally among the various types and classes of units provided in the building.
Exceptions:
1. In buildings three stories or less in height, the number of Type A units may be reduced in accordance with Section 18-11-1107.6.
2. In buildings three stories or less in height, attached multi-story single-family dwelling units with separate means of egress are exempt.
Construction documents showing accessible features of alternative kitchen elevations after adaptation shall be provided with the initial application for any required permit.
