18-11-1107.5.1.3.1 Clear floor area.

A clear floor space complying with ICC/ANSI A117.1 shall be provided on both sides of the accessible bed. The clear floor space shall be positioned for parallel approach to the side of the bed.

Exception: This requirement shall not apply if a single clear floor space complying with ICC/ANSI A117.1 positioned for parallel approach is provided between two beds.
