13-40-145 Authority of building commissioner to require inspection reports.

The building commissioner is authorized to require inspection reports by qualified individuals or organizations relating to off-site fabrication of structural assemblies, off-site fabrication of steel assemblies, on- site connections of structural steel members, precast or poured in place concrete construction, installation of pile foundations and related assemblies in addition to, or in lieu of, inspections conducted by the department where, in the commissioner's opinion, such reports are necessary to ensure the safety of the structure. This section shall not apply to inspection of prefabricated residential units.
