§ 115.01  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   BODY PIERCING.  A perforation of human tissue other than an ear for nonmedical purposes.
   MINOR.  An individual under 18 years of age who is not emancipated under Public Act 293, § 4, of 1968, being M.C.L.A. § 722.4, as amended.
   PRINCIPAL BUSINESS.  A business is deemed to be a tattoo business and/or body piercing business if its sales or rental income from its tattoo and/or body piercing activities comprises at least 1% of its sales volume or if that portion of its inventory that relates to its tattoo business and/or body piercing business occupies 1% or more of the floor area or visible inventory within the establishment.
   TATTOO.  One of the following: (1) an indelible mark made upon the body of another individual by the insertion of a pigment under the skin; (2) an indelible design made upon the body of another individual by production of scars other than by branding.
