(a) The applicant for water service shall be charged for each water meter, remote meter reading device and any other associated materials, services or work which may be furnished by the Municipality.
(1) The charge for materials shall be the Municipality's total cost for all meters, remote reading devices, meter ball valves and any other materials which may be furnished, plus thirty percent (30%) of said total cost.
(2) When the installation of water meters is required to be done by the Municipality there shall be an additional charge for the installation work as set forth in § 921.164
(Charge For Municipal Work).
(b) A service charge of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be made for testing water meters when said testing is done under the provisions of § 927.81
of the Water Regulations.
(1) Should testing show that the water meter does not meet the required standards, said meter shall be replaced at no cost to the property owner. However, should testing show that the water meter is within the required standards an additional charge, as set forth in § 921.164
(Charges For Municipal Work), shall be made for re-installing the meter.
(2) The charges set forth in this section shall be added to the water bill and collected in the same manner as other water bill charges.
