No person shall keep within the city any billiard, pool, bagatelle, pool, pin pool or pigeonhole or other like table, or any bowling, pin and ball or box ball or like alley, to be used or played upon by others for hire or gain, without first giving a bond in the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) to the city, to be approved by the council, conditioned for a full and faithful compliance with all the material provisions of this chapter, and having obtained a license therefor, under a penalty of not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense. The annual charges for licenses issued under this chapter shall be as follows:
(A) For license to keep billiard or pool tables, twenty dollars ($20.00) shall be charged for the first table; seventeen dollars fifty cents ($17.50) for the second table; twelve dollars fifty cents ($12.50) for the third table, and five dollars ($5.00) for each additional table.
(B) For license to keep a pigeonhole or bagatelle table, the sum of fifty dollar ($50.00) shall be charged for each table.
(C) For license to keep a nine (9) or ten (10) pin alley (or any number of pin alley), or any box ball or like alley, the sum of twenty five dollars ($25.00) for the first alley, and five dollars ($5.00) for each additional alley, where all are within one building.
All license fees to be paid quarterly in advance. (R.O. 1959, Ch. 11, Sec. 2)
