Editor's note:

   Effective 9-30-11, the felony threshold for many offenses involving property or property damages has been increased from $500 to $1,000. Current law provides for misdemeanor charges if the value of the property involved is less than $500; the new law allows for misdemeanor charges if the property involved is less than $1,000. Code sections affected include: 131.02, 131.08, 131.10, 131.11, 131.12, 131.15, 131.16, 131.17, 131.18, 131.24, 131.27, 131.28, 132.06, 132.08, 132.09, 134.05, 136.02.
