(a) Appointment and Term. There is hereby created the position of two City Electrical Inspectors, who shall be appointed by the Director of Public Safety and shall serve at the pleasure of the Director under the supervision of the Building Commissioner. Such Electrical Inspectors shall be certified Electrical Inspectors of the State of Ohio.
(b) Compensation. Compensation of the City Electrical Inspectors shall be fixed by Council.
(c) Duties. It shall be the duty of the Electrical Inspectors, subject to the regulation of the Building Commissioner, to administer and enforce all State laws and City ordinances relating to the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of electrical wiring and equipment, to inspect and test all electrical wiring and equipment as required by State laws and City ordinances, to keep complete records of all inspections made and other official work performed and to submit to Council a report on such activities once each year.
