1303.01 CODE ADOPTED; IDENTITY AND PURPOSE.
   Pursuant to the provisions of Ohio R.C. 731.231, the 1959 Edition of the Regional Building Code, as prepared and promulgated by the Regional Planning Commission, Cleveland, Ohio, is hereby adopted by the City of Brook Park and incorporated by reference as a part of the City Building Code as if fully set out herein, except such provisions as may hereafter be amended, enacted or repealed. The purpose of the Regional Building Code, as adopted herein, is to establish uniform standard provisions to govern the construction, alteration, repair, maintenance, design, materials, equipment and removal or demolition of all buildings and other structures within the City so as to make them safe and sanitary for their intended use and occupancy, except that the Code shall not apply to one and two-family dwellings, and private garages and other structures appurtenant to such dwellings.
