(a) Appointment and Term. There is hereby created the position of City Plumbing Inspector, who shall be appointed by the Director of Public Safety and shall serve at the will of such Director under the supervision of the Building Commissioner.
(b) Compensation. Compensation of the City Plumbing Inspector shall be fixed by Council.
(c) Duties. It shall be the duty of the Plumbing Inspector, subject to the regulations of the Building Commissioner, to administer and enforce all State laws and City ordinance relating to the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of all piping, traps and fixtures of a building drainage or plumbing system and all piping meters and fixtures of a building gas system; to inspect and test all piping, traps, meters and fixtures of plumbing, drainage and gas systems of buildings as required by State laws and City ordinances; to keep complete records of all inspections made and other official work performed, and to submit to Council a report on such activities once each year.
