§ 32.03 WORKING PRISONERS.
   Every person convicted for a violation of this code or other ordinance of the town and given a jail sentence shall, if physically able, be employed during the period of the jail sentence or confinement at such community service or other labor as may be assigned to him or her by the courts. Any community service shall be monitored by court agencies such as Piedmont Court Services. In the discretion of the district court, he or she may be sentenced to the county jail, subject to the Bureau of Correctional Field Units.
