The director of service shall manage and supervise the department of service. He or she shall be appointed by the mayor subject to confirmation by Council. The director shall have charge of the maintenance of such public buildings, public property and other property in the care of the City as the mayor may direct. He or she shall perform such other duties and functions in connection with the public service of the City and have such further powers as may be provided by Council, or as directed by the mayor, and shall perform all duties imposed upon municipal service directors by the laws of Ohio.
