(a) No person shall post, hang or place within the corporate limits of the City any sign, poster, or display card of a temporary nature advertising, announcing or promoting merchandise for sale or rent, carnivals, meetings, entertainment events, political issues or candidates, sporting or similar events within the public right of way.
(b) A person has the right, but not the obligation, to remove any sign posted, hung and/or placed in violation of Section 541.11(a) placed in the right of way immediately adjacent to said person’s residence.
(c) Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
