The building commissioner is hereby authorized to enforce the terms of this section 9-2-8. No building permit shall be issued until there has been compliance with the provisions of this section 9-2-8. Any contractor or subcontractor employed to commence work after the building permit has been issued shall make application as set forth herein to have a certificate issued prior to commencement of that contractor's or subcontractor's work. The building commissioner may also take such action to issue a stop work order as provided in subsection 9-2-1-1C of this chapter. (Ord. 92-36, 10-5-1992, eff. 1-1-1993)
