A. Department Created, Composition: There is hereby created the Street Department, an executive department of the Village. The Street Department shall consist of the Director of Public Works and Water and such other officers and employees as may be assigned thereto.
B. Duties: It shall be the function of the Street Department, and the duty of each officer and employee assigned thereto, to see to it that the streets, alleys and other public ways are kept in good repair and are cleaned at regular intervals or so often as may be necessary.
C. Enforcement Duties: The Director of Public Works and Water and members of the Street Department shall, and are hereby empowered to, enforce the provisions of this Code and other ordinances relating to obstructing the streets or other public ways or making excavations, unless specifically given to some other officer or department for enforcement.
