A. Bureau Established: The Bureau of Fire Prevention in the Fire Department is hereby established and shall be operated under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department. (1987 Code)
B. Annual Report: A report of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be made annually and transmitted to the Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality. It shall contain all proceedings under the Fire Code 1 , with such statistics as the Chief of the Fire Department may wish to include therein. (1987 Code; amd. Ord. 2018-33, 12-17-2018)
C. Chief Enforcement Officer: The Chief Enforcement Officer of the Fire Code shall be a current sworn member of the Fire Department who shall be appointed by the Fire Chief and who shall serve until a successor is appointed.
The Chief Enforcement Officer shall be under the supervision and control of the Fire Chief and shall perform, in addition to the regular firefighting duties which may be assigned, all duties required of the officer under the provisions of the Fire Code and the ordinances of the Village.
