It shall be the function of the Health Department, and the duty of every officer and employee assigned thereto, to see to the enforcement of all ordinances and Code provisions relating to the care and handling of food and drink, the care of contagious diseases and vaccinations, nuisances dangerous to public health and such other matters as may be assigned to it or may properly come within its jurisdiction.
