§ 93.38 PRIVATE HYDRANTS.
   (A)   All private hydrants within the corporation of the city shall have two 2-1/2 inch ports with national standard thread and one 5-inch port with an unpainted, anodized aluminum Harrington Storz fitting. The direction of the Storz fitting will be determined by the Fire Division for new hydrant installations.
   (B)   Private fire hydrants shall be located within three feet of the curb or roadway edge if either is present. When private hydrants are installed at an intersection, hydrants shall be installed within three feet of both curbs or roadway edges. Private hydrants shall be installed with a minimum of 18 inches from the center of the six-inch Storz port to the final grade. All private hydrants shall be painted “Safety Red, Sherwin Williams B54R38" or equivalent. The anodized aluminum Storz fitting shall not be painted.
