28-3.02   Basis for Establishing the Special Flood Hazard Areas.
   The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for Warren County, dated May 2, 2007, with the accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMS), other supporting data and any subsequent amendments thereto, are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be part of these regulations by the City of Bowling Green, and for those land areas acquired by the City of Bowling Green through annexation. This Flood Insurance Study and attendant mapping is the minimum area of applicability of this Chapter and may be supplemented by studies for other areas which allow implementation of this ordinance and which are recommended to the City of Bowling Green by the Floodplain Administrator and are enacted by the City of Bowling Green pursuant to statutes governing land use management regulations. The Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and/or Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) are permanent records of the City of Bowling Green and are on file and available for review by the public during regular business hours at the City-County Planning Commission office at 1141 State Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky, 42101.
