The Convention Center Committee shall act as an advisory and oversight body for the City in the operation, management and maintenance of the Sloan Convention Center by meeting with the Sloan Convention Center management company and other interested parties on a regular basis. The Convention Center Committee shall oversee and evaluate the performance of the management company and other contractors pertaining to the operation, management and maintenance of the Sloan Convention Center and shall make recommendations to the City of Bowling Green Board of Commissioners regarding the annual operating budget and other related reports. The Committee shall also assist in formulating policies and procedures for the operation and use of the Sloan Convention Center. All final decisions related to the operation, management and maintenance of the Sloan Convention Center, including, but not limited to, the approval of the annual budget and expenditures, shall remain with the Board of Commissioners.
