a. The Director of Parks and Recreation shall be in charge of the Parks and Recreation Department subject to the supervision of the City Manager. The Director shall be responsible for the proper administration, operation and maintenance of all the City’s parks, playgrounds, golf courses, swimming pools, cemeteries and all of its other recreational facilities. The Director shall also be responsible for the development of the Comprehensive Recreation Plan and all other duties as assigned to the Department by ordinance and State law.
b. The Department shall seek and consider the advice of the Board of Park Commissioners, and the Director shall meet with and serve as an advisor to the Board of Park Commissioners.
