Every owner, and every person in possession or control, of a historic property shall, to the maximum extent practicable, maintain and keep the property and its character defining features in good repair, as defined in sections 5-7-3 and 5-7-4 of this code. In the event that a historic property constitutes a public nuisance or is subject to vandalism, the city may issue any order it deems appropriate to prevent further vandalism or public nuisance pursuant to sections 1-3-101 and 5-7-6 of this code.
