§ 79.01 PURPOSE.
   The purpose of this chapter is to prohibit the uses of motorized skateboards and scooters in public areas within the village.

§ 79.02 INVOCATION OF AUTHORITY.
   This chapter is enacted pursuant to the police powers and authority granted to this village by the Constitution of the State of Illinois and the Illinois Compiled Statutes.

§ 79.03 STATE LAW ADOPTED.
   All applicable provisions of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, including the Illinois Municipal Code, as may be amended from time to time, relating to the purposes of this chapter are hereby incorporated herein by reference.

§ 79.04 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, a MOTORIZED SKATEBOARD is defined as a board or other horizontal surface having attached thereto wheels, which wheels are operated by some type of motor and the board is generally designed to hold one person. A MOTORIZED SCOOTER is defined as a board or other horizontal surface with a handle bar having attached thereto wheels, which wheels are operated by some type of motor and the board is generally designed to hold one person.
