345.01 ENFORCEMENT.
   It shall be the duty of the Division of Police to enforce the provisions of this chapter. The Chief of Police shall assign such officers and members of the Division of Police as he may determine necessary to the duty of enforcing the provisions of this chapter. In the event of fire or other emergency, members of the Division of Fire may direct traffic and otherwise assist the Division of Police, notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter.

345.02 PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES.
   The Chief of Police is hereby empowered and authorized to designate or approve the erection of stop signs at such locations in a shopping center or parking lot as he deems necessary or desirable for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians. The Chief of Police is empowered and authorized to designate or approve the placing of appropriate devices, lines or marks upon the roadways, parking areas and sidewalks to indicate crosswalks, walkways and safety islands at such places in a shopping center or parking lot as he deems necessary for the safe and efficient movement of pedestrians.
