§ 97.01 PURPOSE.
   The Town of Beech Mountain seeks to protect the health and well-being of its employees. Since environmental tobacco smoke has been identified as potentially carcinogenic by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and the Environmental Protection Agency, the Town of Beech Mountain hereby establishes a policy to regulate smoking. This policy shall apply to all employees and visitors on town property.

§ 97.02 TOWN BUILDINGS. 1
   Smoking is prohibited in all town buildings.

§ 97.03 VEHICLES. 1
   Smoking is prohibited in all town vehicles.

§ 97.04 GROUNDS. 1
   Smoking is prohibited within 50 feet of the main entrance to the Town Hall and Buckeye Recreation Center.

§ 97.05 SPECIAL EVENTS.
   The Town Manager is empowered to prohibit smoking at other facilities during special events. The Town Manager shall have signs posted saying that smoking is prohibited at any event where he or she has banned smoking.
