CHARTER

Chapter 246 of the Ratified Bills of the General Assembly of North Carolina is the present charter for the Town of Beech Mountain, North Carolina. This is an unofficial compilation of that charter. No changes have been made in the charter as set out herein except that a table of contents has been added to aid the reader, and quotation marks introducing each article and section have been removed. The charter has not been amended through June, 1989: however, see the Editor's notes under § 3.4 and under Art. VIII below, which explains the reason and authority for the selection of the mayor in a manner different from that provided for in the charter.
