That the following words shall have the following meanings and/or definition:
CHRONIC TRUANCY: Any chronic truant minor who has been absent on more than one occasion during a school year without cause or acceptable excuse.
CHRONIC TRUANT MINOR: A truant minor to whom supportive services, including prevention, diagnostic, intervention and remedial services, alternative programs and other school and community resources, have been provided and have failed to result in the cessation of habitual or ongoing truant behavior, or have been offered and refused.
MINOR: A child who is seventeen (17) years of age or younger.
SCHOOL: Either a public or private educational institution fully accredited or certified by the Illinois Department of Education.
TRUANT MINOR: A minor in any school accredited or certified by the Illinois Department of Education, located within the Village, who is absent without cause or an acceptable excuse from such attendance for a school day or portion thereof. (Ord. 16-1510, 7-7-2016)
