8-1-1: DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHED:
A department of the government of the Village to be known as the Village Fire Department is hereby created. The primary purposes of the department are to provide the fire protection and rescue operations necessary to serve the best interests of safety and the preservation of life and personal and public properties. (Ord. 534, eff. 1-1-1967)
