1325.06 MULTIPLE DWELLINGS AND APARTMENTS.
   In row houses, multiple dwellings and apartment houses not more than three (3) stories in height, plain solid masonry bearing walls may be of eight-inch (8 in.) nominal thickness when not over thirty-five feet (35 ft.) in height above the first story, which first story shall be not less than twelve inch (12 in.) nominal thickness. Such walls in one-story single-family dwelling houses and row houses, and one-story private garages, and for similar structures, may be of six-inch (6 in.) nominal thickness when not over nine feet (9 ft.) in height, provided that when gable construction is used, the height may be a maximum of fifteen feet (15 ft.) to the peak of the gable.
