(a) One, Two and Three Family Dwelling Code. These provisions of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Bedford shall be known as the Dwelling House Code of the City of Bedford pertaining to the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, use and occupancy, location, maintenance, removal, and demolition of every one, two and three family residential building or structure, any appurtenances connected or attached to such building or structure, and any accessory structure, may be cited as such, and will be referred to herein as “the code”. No building or its equipment or accessories to which these rules apply shall be erected, constructed, or installed except in conformity with the rules contained herein.

(b) This code shall be comprised of the following sections:
(1) All Chapters entitled "The Residential Code of Ohio for One, Two and Three Family Dwellings, current edition as adopted by the State of Ohio, Board of Building Standards, along with the referenced current editions of the National Electrical Code, Ohio Plumbing Code, and other referenced Codes and Standards.
(2) All Chapters entitled "The International Property Maintenance Code", current edition.
