1101.02 RECREATION DIRECTOR; DUTIES.
   There is established the position of Recreation Director. He shall operate this department and conduct the department as directed by the City Manager and pursuant to the duly enacted ordinances of Council. His duties shall consist primarily of administering the recreation programs of the City; overseeing the acquisition, care and maintenance of City recreation facilities and parks; the receipt of any fees related to the recreation programs or rental of City recreation facilities and parks and insuring the implementation of any contracts to be administered by the Recreation Department. He shall accept all applications to conduct recreational activities. The Director shall determine if such proposed activity meets recreational needs of the community, and City staff or sponsors will provide adequate supervision and maintenance of order. The Director shall have a degree in recreation, physical education or related field.
