(a) In a hospital owned and operated facility, the medical staff rules, regulations and policies adopted by the hospital for such care shall prevail.
(b) In a non-hospital owned and operated facility, comparable written medical staff rules, regulations and policies shall be developed and adopted by the medical staff.
(c) A facility shall have a written policy adopted by the medical staff to provide for adequate handwashing and surgical scrub-up procedures between patient examinations when actual contact with a patient occurs and between surgical operative procedures in accord with generally accepted standards for sanitation and surgical scrubup cleanliness.
