In lieu of the payment of the license fee, any person may forthwith furnish or cause to be furnished a bond, subject to the approval of the City Manager, in the penal sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000), payable to the City, with not less than two (2) sureties thereon satisfactory to the City Manager.
