This chapter shall not apply to persons selling by sample only; to any agricultural articles or products offered or exposed for sale by the producer; to persons selling articles of their own manufacture; to sales pursuant to the order of any court of competent jurisdiction, or to any person owning or operating a branch store or stores within the City, provided such person or the principal of such person has been engaged in the same kind of business in the City for a period of more than one hundred twenty (120) business days prior to the date of the opening of the branch store or stores.
