505.212 APPEAL PROCEDURE.

   (a)   The owner of a dog who has been served with a notice pursuant to Section 505.211 may, within seven days after receipt of such notice, make a written demand to the Safety Director for a hearing on the question of whether the dog is dangerous or vicious as defined in Section 505.21.

   (b)   Every effort should be made to hold a hearing no later than fifteen (15) days following receipt of written demand to the Safety Director and at least three (3) days notice of the hearing shall be given to the individual who made the written demand for the hearing. Service of the notice of the hearing shall be in the same manner as provided in section 505.211 (d) of the chapter.
