(a) The Pay of City employees shall be on the basis of appropriate schedules of hourly or monthly salary rates for the respective class grades for each class of positions. Each schedule shall consist of an entrance rate, intermediate rates and a maximum rate.
(b) The rates of pay are based on full-time employment at normal working hours for the respective classes of positions. All regular permanent, full-time employees shall be paid on the schedule of monthly salaries prescribed for their respective classes of positions, and designated hourly rate positions shall be paid on the schedule of hourly rates prescribed therefor. Salaries of seasonal or part-time positions shall be based on hourly rates.
