Each and every member of the Division of Police is designated as an assistant to the Clerk of Council and shall serve any and all notices required by law or ordinance and perform such other duties as the Clerk of Council or Council shall direct. No compensation shall be paid for such services as assistant clerk other than that paid to such police officers as members of the Division of Police.
