152.02 DUTIES.

   (a)   The Plans Examiners shall review all building permit applications, together with accompanying plans, drawings and specifications, for any building or other structure to be built in the City, where the Ohio Building Code is applicable.  The Plans Examiners shall review plans to determine conformity with the minimum requirements of the Ohio Building Code and shall adopt its standards and City amendments thereto governing the erection, construction, repair, alteration and maintenance of buildings and other structures.  The Plans Examiners shall approve or disapprove all applications in writing.  No permit shall be issued without such written approval.

   (b)   The Plans Examiners shall consult with the Mayor and other department heads and shall assist Council on legislative matters relating to Building Code compliance or construction practices or standards.  The Plans Examiners shall further perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Mayor or the Building Commissioner.
