(A) Fiscal Officer. The position of Fiscal Officer is hereby created to perform the duties formerly performed by the Village Clerk-Treasurer.
(B) Residency. The Fiscal Officer is not required to be a resident of the village but may reside outside the village.
(C) Compensation, bond, benefits and hours.
(1) The salary of the Fiscal Officer shall be an amount established by resolution of Village Council from time to time.
(2) The bond of the Fiscal Officer shall be $50,000.
(3) The Fiscal Officer shall receive vacations and holidays in the same manner as village employees pursuant to Chapter 34.
(4) The Fiscal Officer shall maintain office hours as set by Council for the operation of the village office.
(D) Allocation, re-allocation of funds. Commencing with the 2011 appropriations, the Fiscal Officer for the village shall hereinafter be authorized to allocate or re-allocate funds within village funds covered by a previously adopted appropriation. The Fiscal Officer shall provide Council with a report of any money moved within a fund at the next regularly scheduled meeting of Council.

(A) Employment and term. Legal counsel shall be provided for the village, and the person employed as such counsel shall be known as the Solicitor of the village. The Solicitor shall be employed for a period not exceeding two years.
(B) Qualifications and duties. The Solicitor shall be an attorney at law, admitted to practice in the courts of the state. It shall be the duty of the Solicitor to act as attorney and counsel for the village and the officers thereof in their capacity, and as such attorney, to prosecute and defend all actions by or against the village or any department or officer thereof during the term of his or her employment, and to render legal opinions to Council and to any department or officer of the village upon request in writing.
