1424.01 2002 EDITION ADOPTED; IDENTITY AND PURPOSE.

   Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, the 2002 edition of the National Electrical Code, promulgated by the National Fire Protection Association, is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein. The City hereby adopts all subsequent editions to the Code as they are from time to time published.

1424.02 FILE AND DISTRIBUTION COPIES.

   A complete copy of the National Electrical Code, as adopted in Section 1424.01, is on file with the Clerk of Council and the Building Inspector for inspection by the public. A complete copy is also on file in the County Law Library. In addition, the Clerk of Council has copies available for distribution to the public, at cost.

1424.03 ENFORCEMENT.

   The Building Inspector shall enforce the National Electrical Code, as adopted in Section 1424.01, and all other laws relating to buildings and structures and, in the discharge of his or her official duties, shall have authority, upon proper identification, to enter any building, structure or premises at reasonable times to enforce and ascertain compliance with such Code or law, subject to constitutional restrictions on unreasonable searches and seizures.

1424.04 CONFLICTS OF LAWS.

   In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of the National Electrical Code, as adopted in Section 1424.01, and a provision of any local ordinance, resolution, rule or regulation, the local provision shall control.
