§ 10.19A SCHRAFEL WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA.
   Subd. 1.   The Schrafel Wildlife Management Area ("WMA") shall continue to be managed by the State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources ("DNR"). This area was established in 1992 by a testamentary transfer to the State of Minnesota, with the condition that it remains an undeveloped natural area. The following uses are permitted by the DNR at this time, subject to change and the limitations and requirements herein set forth:
      A.   Archery hunting of small game, turkey and deer.
      B.   Off leash dog training and/or retrieving.
      C.   Prescribed burns as needed for habitat management with prior notice to the City Fire Chief.
      D.   Falconry.
   Subd. 2.   No person may use a firearm, bow or other dangerous weapon in hunting game within the City of Austin except as permitted in § 10.19, Subd. 5(I) regarding the Jay C. Hormel Nature Preserve and § 10.19A, regarding the Schrafel Wildlife Management Area.
   Subd. 3.   A person may hunt wild game by archery with the following requirements:
      A.   The shooting occurs within the WMA as allowed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources State rules and regulations.
      B.   The arrow does not travel beyond the boundaries of the WMA.
   Subd. 4.   Any person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor. The minimum penalty for a person's first offense under Subdivision 3 is a fine of $200.
