1-8-1: DEFINITION:
NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS (NSF): To indicate that a check cannot be honored because of insufficient funds are available in the account on which the instrument was drawn. NSF is also referred to as a bad check, dishonored check, bounced check, cold check, rubber check, returned check, or hot check. (Ord. 374, 3-14-2017)
