6-5-1: DEFINITIONS:
The following definitions shall apply in the interpretation and enforcement of this chapter.
HIGHWAY: Means the entire width between the boundary lines of every way publicly maintained when any part thereof is open to the use of the public for purposes of vehicular traffic.
OPERATE: Means to ride in or on, other than as a passenger, use or control the operation of a snowmobile in any manner, whether or not the snowmobile is under way.
OPERATOR: Means any person who operates or is in actual physical control of a snowmobile.
ROADWAY: Means the portion of a highway improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, elusive to the berm or shoulder. In the event a highway includes two (2) or more separate roadways the term "roadway" as used herein shall refer to any such roadway separately but not to all such roadways collectively.
SNOWMOBILE: Means a self-propelled device designed for travel on snow or ice or natural terrain steered by skis or runners, and supported in part by skis, belts, or cleats. (Ord. 370, 11-8-2016)
