6-1-9: DRIVERS:
   A.   Liquor Or Drugs: It shall be unlawful for the habitual user of narcotic drugs to operate any motor vehicle on any street; and it shall be unlawful for any intoxicated person, or any person under the influence of alcohol or of a narcotic drug, to operate or attempt to operate any motor vehicle on any street 1 .
   B.   Accidents: The driver of a vehicle which has collided with, or been in an accident with any vehicle, person or property in such a manner as to cause injury or damage, shall stop immediately, and render such assistance as may be possible, and to give his/her true name and residence to the injured person or any other persons requesting the same on behalf of the injured person, or to the owner of the property damaged, and to a policeman, if one is present. A report of each such accident shall be given by the driver of each vehicle concerned in it to the Chief of Police within twenty four (24) hours after the accident 2 . (1998 Code)
