The following definitions shall apply in this chapter:
COMMERCIAL REFUSE: That rubbish and garbage from commercial establishments and industrial plants.
CONTAINERS: Residential refuse containers shall be metal or plastic, waterproof, rat-proof and fly-tight, with handles. Plastic bags may be used but must be tied closed. Commercial refuse containers shall be waterproof, rat-proof and fly-tight.
GARBAGE: The animal and vegetable waste resulting from handling, preparation, processing, cooking or consumption of food; animal waste; and any waste material edible to rats, with the exception of sewerage and dead animals.
NUISANCES: As enumerated in section 5-6-3 of this chapter.
REFUSE: All garbage and rubbish within the Village limits.
RESIDENTIAL REFUSE: That rubbish and garbage accumulated from dwellings.
RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL RULES: The Public Works Department Rules and Regulations governing the collection and disposal of solid waste from residential properties.
RUBBISH: Any waste material except that which is defined as "garbage" excluding sewerage, yard waste and dead animals. (Ord. 380, 5-8-2018)
