928.01 GENERAL PROVISIONS.
   (a)   No connection shall be made with any public storm sewer system, either at the main or by connection with another property already tapped into the City storm system, without written permit from the Director. Any connection or opening made into any public storm sewer system without such permit or in a manner different from the mode herein prescribed shall be a misdemeanor. Each and every day that any person shall, without such permit, continue to use the public sewer shall be considered a separate offense.
   (b)   Prior to constructing any new off-street parking lot or prior to resurfacing any existing parking lot area that results in the redirecting of drainage flow patterns with paving materials, surface sealing compounds or waterproofing materials, a general stormwater drainage permit shall be obtained and submitted to the Director for approval before any work thereon shall commence.
   (c)   All pipe used in storm sewers or drains shall comply with City specifications in accordance with Section 928.02.
   (d)   No storm water runoff or underground foundation drains shall be connected to a sanitary sewer. (Ord. 98-69. Passed 5-26-98; Ord. 12-112. Passed 10-22-12.)
